About Me
Thank you for checking out my page! I am Emily Widowski and I am an 18 year old self taught artist. I first fell in love with paintings when I saw the Monet lily pads with my mom. I pictured myself in Paris with a canvas painting the lily pads myself. My grandparents were the first to encourage me to start painting. I have since named my paintings after my grandpa whom I call Poppy, hence the name poppyseed paintings. Painting allows me to clear my head and relieve stress, which is why I first loved to do it. Recently I have found my favorite paintings are the ones with stories or that have meaning. My favorite painting I have ever painted is of Jesus carrying the cross. I had just watched The Passion of Christ and felt the holy spirit telling me to paint. I hope you find a few paintings you like and even consider supporting me by purchasing one!
